Background

Healthdirect was embarking on the first phase of enabling continuity of care across their platform. Allowing users to create a secure account to save their symptom checks, health fact sheets and build up a personalised health profile.

What we did

  • In-depth interviews to explore health consumer needs and behaviours around researching and saving their health information online.

  • Defined the membership proposition and product strategy.

  • Designed the experience for sign-up and sign-in flows across desktop and mobile.

  • Co-designed for privacy and accessibility with subject matter experts.

  • Mapped service features to determine how they would work for different user groups at different points of the user journey.

It was a delicate balance to design a user experience that was easy for health consumers to use, but also safe and private.
